Sub, sub, sub freezing temperatures, slippery snow and ice, frost-bitten toes and fingers, and windshields caked in ice, all add up to a typical Canadian winter. It's not exactly the best situation for someone wanting to stay in, or get into, shape

The Pilates plank exercise, which looks like the “up” part of a push-up, is excellent if you can do it. Lie face down, and raise your body into a benchlike posture, supporting it with your hands and toes and keeping your back flat.
